Introduction:
Welcome to a new module, in this case on action research.

The file of this task explains what it is about. It indicates that you will do your action research in a group made up of yourself, instructor colleagues, or several students from a DNS (teacher training college).

This file was written in 2007. In a meeting at the end of the year, it was decided to promote the so-called participatory action research that implies that the researcher or researchers work together with the research subjects, involving them fully in the project, including the decisions on the next steps.

In this module, you will be able to choose between following the 2007 directives or developing a participatory action research project, along with the students who are the objects of your research but who in this case, will also be subjects.
Directive:

Read the text quickly to get an overview.

Write a maximum of 5 lines on the three objectives set out in the introduction.

Quote from the third row from the top: "... is not merely to understand and interpret the world but to change it". The world is anywhere. You will work with action research in primary school. Give three examples of changes required in primary school.

In the participatory action research promoted by the Colombian Orlando Fals Borda, among others, the participants are an integral part of the project, even in decision-making. What are the consequences for your educational project if you decide to do participatory action research? Will this be possible?

Upload your work to the website for comments.

FILES:

1. Introduction to Action Research
,
