Introduction:

The second year of the DNS educational program starts with a period so called &ldquo;The European Reality&rdquo;. Basically, it is a period that gives to the students the opportunity to get involved in a European Society in a way that, probably, they had never been involved before.
This involvement should have two main basis: the productive side of the society and the intellectual side of the society. To understand the productive side of the society, the students need to find a job and experience the working place, the workmates, the conditions given by the employers, the difficulties, the daily routine and so on; and to experience the intellectual society the students need to open the doors of their house and invite neighbors, workmates, strangers, &hellip;, promoting and leading nice contemporary debates, like politics, big issues of our time, social issues in Europe and also culture, through poetry, music, etc... 
Get involved in a society does not mean to live in a European city; means much more: means being part of the city, means being active and in a constant social interaction. 
&nbsp;
The period is a big part of the program &ndash; six months &ndash; so, the decision upon which European city the team will go cannot be taken easily. Reflection, deliberation and sorrow thoughts are required before pack a bag and leave to a foreign and unknown country.

This task will lead you, methodologically, to take the decision upon the most appropriated European city, to your study purposes.

Directive:

1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Meet with your team and make a list of possible European cities that you think could fit for the purpose of this period. Each person should explain and give valid arguments about why they chose the respective city.

Always be sure that everybody agree. If not, the discussion has to be extended until the consensus is reached.

Take in consideration the following points: House renting prices; Employment situation; Food prices and other important needs like water, electricity, gas, internet, transport services, &hellip;; Travel prices between the city and Tvind; Bureaucracy details; Political situation; and any other information that you consider relevant.

l0 level1 lfo1;mso-hyphenate:auto;tab-stops:list 36.0pt">5.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The investigation should be done in small groups and each group has to have a good structure for it: visit job centres, visit houses/flats and interview some people (immigrants included) are mandatory points in this investigation.

l0 level1 lfo1;mso-hyphenate:auto;tab-stops:list 36.0pt">6.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; After the investigation, the different teams must give presentations about the cities they investigated, and the team should have the final meetings and decide upon the best city - having in consideration all that they learned, saw and discussed.
