Introduction:

Now your experiment is to carry out the first Action with the Organization of the Poor. You detail the program, you plan and organize people, you get hold of materials and funds needed, you take care of logistics, you prepare your own speeches, you mobilize participants &ndash; and you do as much as you can shoulder to shoulder with the Poor so that it is not your action but the action of the Organization of the Poor.

As you go along you solve problems as they show up, you find solutions, and you keep the spirits high. You learn and the community learns. The Organization of the Poor gains new experience and is thus strengthened.

Directive:

<ol>
	<li>Read the introduction and read about Action Research in file 1. </li>
	<li>Go through all ideas and program of Action 1. Detail the plans, to include: who is doing what and when, and how people are organized. Plan the preparation, the materials, equipment, funds, the guests to invite and the speeches to be made or whatever practicalities are involved in the action. Make a timeline that illustrates the plan of action. Think it all through again. Make adjustments.</li>
	<li>Meet with the Organization of the Poor and share all your ideas and plans for preparation and finalize all planning and preparations collectively with the people from the community.</li>
	<li>Carry through the action, while making daily notes in your journal so that you have a clear record of what happened when. Take some pictures that show you fighting shoulder to shoulder with the Poor and the Action and save other evidence of the action such as invitation letters, notes for speeches, etc.</li>
	<li>Send a note to your tutor that the Action has been completed.</li>
