The task is to become familiar with the program and to get a good overview of the content of the B-Certificate you have chosen.

<p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Arial; color: rgb(35, 35, 35);"> Welcome to the 6-week training period, where you will become familiar with how to study at distance for a B-Certificate at OWU. This is your first task using the DMM system. It is a special task that is not part of any of the subjects as it is simply meant to introduce you to the whole thing. You will study the program booklet that informs you about the program, the content of the program, how to plan your studies in each of the periods as well as the details of the training period you have now started. You will try communicating with your tutor by sending answers to questions asked in the directive of this task via email or Skype. In future when you do the regular tasks of the program you will also be able to communicate via the www.owuonline.org website. Please enjoy getting started with your studies!</p>
Directive:
<ol> <li> Read the introduction and the Program Booklet about your B-Certificate.</li> <li> Look at the descriptions of the five periods in the program and write in your own words the idea of each period.</li> <li> Look at the description of each of the subjects of your program with their sections, titles and wordings. From each subject choose one task or course you find interesting.</li> <li> Put the DVD with the material for your B-Certificate into the computer. Open the folder for one subject. Find the tasks you have chosen for the subject. Read the title, wording, introduction and directives and open the files. Repeat the same for the other subjects, each time looking into the task you have chosen. Write a short conclusion on what you think you will learn from this content and way of studying.</li> <li> If you have a Kindle with the material for the B-Certificate, search for and find your chosen tasks, and look through the files. Write in a few lines how you think you can use the Kindle for your studies.</li> <li> Try to get access to the Internet either from your own computer or from another computer connected to the Internet. Go into www.owuonline.org. Log in as student using the password you have gotten from OWU. Go into your chosen tasks to see how they are organized on the website. Try also to open the files. Get familiar with moving around on the website. Write in a few lines how you can benefit from using owuonline.</li> <li> Consider if you have questions about your B-Certificate studies. If so, write down the questions for your tutor.</li> <li> Gather what you have written for points 2, 4, 5, 6 and 7 above and send to your tutor.</li> </ol> <div> Files:</div> <div> 1.
