Introduction:
The Poor are often the hardest hit in any extra ordinary situation.

When hurricane Katrina raged over New Orleans, it was the Poor who couldn’t leave, whose houses still are not rebuilt, and who are still displaced. The Poor don’t have a voice that is often listened to, and are often left alone.

Sub Saharan Africa was robbed naked by slave trade, colonization and neo-colonization. The Poor suffer from consumerists’ consumption in the rich part of the world. The climate change as a consequence of our man-made global warming is affecting the Poor the most.

It is the people, the working class who are the ones surviving and carrying an everlasting struggle for survival.
This is also the group of people who are affected the most by diseases such as HIV/AIDS, and the silent killer: Tuberculosis.

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that spreads through the air. The bacterium goes through the air from one person to another. It keeps silently waiting in your body, often the lungs, guarded by the immune system. TB is now ‘Latent’ and can’t be spread. However, one-third of the world’s population carries the bacteria. Once the immune system gets weakened the bacteria attacks and TB becomes active, contagious, and kills.

It is the major killer for HIV/AIDS patients as their immune system is already weakened.

It only costs $10 to $ 15 to cure TB, and still 351 people per 100,000 in Africa have it.
