The task is going through a cavalcade of examples of how teaching and learning has taken place throughout history, and how the philosophy of pedagogy, as a function of the economic and political development of society, has changed through time.

A) Read the pages 1-9 of the text<br /> <br /> B) Answer the following points: <ol> <li>What conditions did the colonial powers created in order to succeed in their endeavor to take power?</li> <li>How did people react against it? Give examples .</li> <li>What insights did the educated intellectuals gain from their education and what was the impact for them and for the society at large?</li> </ol> <br /> C) Conclude on how, in your opinion, the text relates to the headline ‘Teaching for Power or<br /> for People’<br /> <br /> D) Read aloud as a poem – the text from ‘O Brado Africano editorial of 27 Feb 1932’ on<br /> page 4 to your team, along with 1-2 more of the poems and shortly give an overview of<br /> the context of each.<br /> <br /> E) Send your answers of questions B-D to the teacher.
