The task is to learn the English prepositions, practice their meaning and how they are used in different contexts.
Time:
hours
Introduction:
It is no wonder you think that you have mastered prepositions because you are using
them all the time. It can also be true that at times you have confused people for using
wrong prepositions. In grammar, a preposition is a word that establishes a
relationship between an object (usually a noun phrase) and some other part of the
sentence. Often prepositions express a location in place or time.

Examples of prepositions are highlighted in sentences below:
• My coat is on the sofa.
• I knitted throughout the day.
• They will not be finished until lunchtime.
• The keys are between the cushions.
• A man hid behind the door

There is a need to do much practice in using them on different situations. The more
you practice the more you become adept in applying and understanding them in
different context.

When you read the files, and do a lot of practical exercises, you will gain much
needed confidence to apply prepositions correctly in your language.
Directive:
1) Read the file about English prepositions and how they are used
2) Open the files with exercises and do them
3) Write an instructive paper with a table of the prepositions and examples
of how each preposition is used in its different ways
4) Send your exercises and the paper to your teacher for approval

If you have Internet access, use the following links to solve this task:

Preposition exercise
(http://www.world-english.org/prepositions2.htm)

Preposition and postpositions.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Preposition From Wikipedia, the
free encyclopedia

Else, use the PDF file from page 3.
