Time:
hours
Introduction:
Understanding how we have come to where we are now, is interesting reading. How did we end up producing actually So much food? What can be done to further increase the production of food – so there is food enough for perhaps 8 billion people? The previous leap forward was done using fossil fuel – how to organize without the fossil fuel in the future? Another interesting angle we always end up discussing is how to make these technically possible changes realize. Which social and political changes will be able to turn the situation around – and how could these radical changes take place? Think about it. In 1942 – just during months, USA turned its industrial production around from normal industrial production to warfare production. So, if it has taken place before – a radical change in production could take place again – reversing the production to actually restore our planet. What role will civil society need to play to make this happen?
