hours
Introduction:
The concept of Solidary Humanism was first introduced in Humana People to People’s Charter. It is not an ideology that fights against other ideologies but an ideology of standing shoulder to shoulder with the people in need and with all the people that work for a better world.
Solidary Humanism is today strongly expressed through Humana People to People’s projects, programs and actions working side by side with the Poor to solve the pressing issues facing mankind, such as lack of education, poor health, lack of food security, environmental destruction, the HIV/AIDS epidemic, high child mortality and more.
With a holistic approach to development, Humana People to People includes all people in the matters: the children, the parents, the farmers, the teachers, the neighbors, the local leaders and the national governments. When people are in the process of creating better conditions for themselves and their communities, they handle the complex reality in which they face their challenges and in which the solutions must be created. So does Humana People to People – attacking the problems from more angles and in cooperation with all sides.
“Humana People to People yearns for a humanizing influence on development. The influence of the Solidary Humanism.”
