Introduction:
Your mental state is contagious. If you fell sad, angry or happy people around you will sense it and begin sharing your mood.<br /> <br /> While serious talk can be very important, so can a bit of humour. When you create a good mood through your speech and body language people you may be able to have other people laugh. Laughter is a healthy activity. It boosts the immune system, improves digestion and sharpens the mind of a tired student so that he or she becomes more open to learning.

<ol> <li>Read the text in the file from the book “How to be funny on purpose”.</li> <li>Make 3 headlines of speeches you are going to make sometime, which you know will be received better with the use of humour.</li> <li>Make a list of humorous anecdotes or phrases to be used in the speeches.</li> <li>Send the list to your tutor with a short argument for why you have included the chosen anecdotes and phrases in your list.</li> </ol>
