The task is to make a power point presentation about one of the topics you have studied and present it to your team.

Introduction:
Power point presentations have become widely used in many different walks of life. It does not substitute the spoken word though, but is there to add dimensions to your speech in the form of keywords, main messages, images, etc. In this way power point presentations can activate more senses in the audience – you both see and hear – and images are often more powerful than words.<br /> Power point presentation is a linear program – one slide at the time. New non-linear programs such as Prezi (<a href="http://www.prezi.com/">www.prezi.com</a>) are used by some in order to make the presentation more interesting.<br /> A power point presentation should be simple and clear and the text easy to read. Never copy and past huge amounts of text – you don’t want the audience to get confused about whether to read the slide or listen to you speaking.<br /> During your program, you study numerous topics and my guess is that you often will prepare presentations for each other in the team. Use these situations to spike your English to perfection.<br />
Directive:
This task is scheduled for 5 hours. <ol> <li>Decide a topic for your power point presentation.</li> <li>Write down the disposition of the presentation.</li> <li>Write the full text of what you are going to say.</li> <li>Decide which slides to put into the presentation – text, pictures, and graphs.</li> <li>Decide the design – colors, fonts, background.</li> <li>Compose the power point presentation – using maximum 25-30 slides for a 45 minute presentation. Check everything for correct English.</li> <li>Practice the presentation – your speech along with the slides so everything fits together.</li> <li>Give the presentation and get comments from your team.</li> <li>Send the power point, your full text and the comments from your team to your teacher.</li> </ol>
