The task is to make one or more educational posters to be used in your school or project.
Time:

Introduction:
Educational posters should be just that; educate people about something important.<br /> It could be posters of how to recycle waste at your school.<br /> Or posters about healthy food, how to make compost, health and hygiene, the use of energy and suggestions of how to save it, how to make bracelets, how to prevent malaria, the causes and effects of global warming, which animals live in a desert,…. you can go on and on.<br /> <br /> At your school and at the project during the service period people live and learn together. We learn from each other and we teach each other. Making posters about essential topics is one way of teaching others. It can be posters you make to support a message you give verbally or it can be posters you put up for people to read themselves. The most important is that they catch people’s attention and carry a clear and easy to understand message – using simple texts, drawings, pictures, maps, graphs etc. to underline this message.
Directive:
This task is scheduled for 4 hours. <ol> <li>Decide what you want to make poster(s) about. Chose a topic that is relevant for the people around you and with a message that actually teaches them something they do not already know.</li> <li>Design your poster(s) carefully.</li> <li>Present the poster(s) to your team and get their comments. Is the message clear? Does the design support the message well? Are they eye-catching? What could be improved?</li> <li>Write a short summary with the comments and your conclusion and send to your teacher.</li> </ol>
