The task is to make a welcome speech for an event at the school or the project.
Time:
hours
Introduction:
During the program, there are amble occasions to give speeches: when starting a people’s exam, when starting a building weekend, when teams are arriving or leaving, for Open Sundays, for sports tournaments, when welcoming people to a workshop about HIV/AIDS… and you can go on and on.
Starting events with a speech is a way to get everyone in the right mood for what is coming and to open up peoples’ minds to the bigger perspectives of the event.
Good speeches are made out of passion, concern and love.
With planning and practice you can become a good speaker because you care about people and the world.
