The task is to view the video Home to get an understanding in broad terms of the history of our planet and the changes humans have made to it.
Time:
hours
Introduction:
Here is a chance to get on a journey of four and a half billion years - from the very first period of our planet's history, when it was still cooling down and the tectonic plates were being formed, the evolution of the life and how this developed into a myriad of life forms, of which the large part have disappeared again. Onwards to the evolution of human beings, the first long period as hunter-gatherers, gradually starting to not only gather but also plant and not only hunt but also breed. The changes of climates, the changes of landscapes, the changes of activities, the changes of social relations and societies.<br /> The journey shows the beauty of our planet Earth, the incredible value that it holds, and how human activities are destroying this value, destroying "Home" - not only our home, but the home of all the living beings populating it, and who have just as much right to this home as we humans have.
