The task is to organize and lead a political event in the community where you speak up for an important issue.

Introduction:
In order to lead a political event you need all the charisma you have got.<br /> When leading a political event or action in the community or at the school/project you will develop your charisma further because you need to do so. <br /> The action or event has to be important in its own right and take its point of departure in a main issue(s) facing the people you plan to address and mobilize.<br /> The action/event should open people’s eyes and encourage them to do something, thus you should not only point at an issue but also give ideas of what people can do about them.<br /> Here are some ideas for action themes:<br /> - Speak up against child abuse<br /> - No violence<br /> - Be open about HIV/AIDS<br /> - No to corruption<br /> - Every family needs a vegetable garden<br /> <br /> Good luck!
Directive:
This task is scheduled for 15 hours <ol> <li>Decide what the theme for your political action/event should be and who you will involve in organizing the action like a group of students or all teams at the school. </li> <li>Write a speech that you will hold as part of the event. The speech should create awareness of the theme and mobilize people to dare to speak up or take action.</li> <li>Prepare other elements together with the students like theatre, songs, posters etc.</li> <li>Carry out the event.</li> <li>Write a short report about the event and your work to prepare it and send the report together with your speech to your tutor for comments.</li> </ol>
