The task is to write a short text where you share your feelings, impressions and thoughts on the topic mentioned in the title and what you have learnt from it.

Introduction:
Probably you heard several people introducing our school “We are another kind of school”. We are different in several ways: we have our special pedagogical principles which say that you are in the forefront of your own education, that you learn from experiences and investigations not less than from books, that you have to use your hands to learn how to improve life around you, that we cooperate in fulfilling difficult tasks and that we all – students and teachers alike – are running the school together.<br /> <br /> Running the school together means that each of us has our own tasks and responsibilities contributing to the community’s life. If we fulfill our tasks carelessly, it will affect the whole community. For example, if a food responsible person does not buy enough food, we all will have to go on diet in the end of that week. Or if a person responsible for the team’s economy doesn’t do his or her job properly, the team might run out of money. We simply depend on each other as a community.<br /> <br /> Running the school together also means that we all are responsible for the quality of life at the school. If we see something which is not working properly or which needs some improvement, we have to speak up. We have to demand others to take their responsibilities and we have to take up bigger issues in the weekly common meeting. We need to leave behind the feeling of being small and powerless. Our or my opinion counts the same as the opinion of everybody else. We are part of running the school together.<br />
Directive:
1. Write a one-page text where you share your throughts, feelings and what you have learnt on the topic "Running the school together", based on the following three points: <ul> <li>Write down how you experience running the school together.</li> <li>Consider how you and your teammates can improve in order to make a better day-to-day life at the school.</li> <li>How is it to be part of taking common decisions? Consider why it is good that everybody carries the responsibility to speak up and to take initiatives. </li> </ul> 2. Send the text to your teacher.
