Introduction:
This is an interactive course is about guidelines and tips on how to proceed when planning an exhibition.
There are many things to take into consideration:

What is the message and who is your message for? What should the audience get out of the exhibition?

What is the headline of the exhibition?

What elements will help underline the message – pictures, statistics, texts, artifacts, live presentation, etc.?

What research do you need to do in order to make the exhibition?

What is the layout of the exhibition? The order of the elements? The colors? The composition of each poster, etc.?

Should the audience be able to bring handout with them when they leave?

How will you secure comments and feedback from the audience?

Since there is no right/wrong in how to make an exhibition the course is interactive, which means all participants should expect to be an active part of contributing.
So be prepared for that.
Directive:
This course is scheduled for 4 hours.

The teacher agrees with one of the participants/trios to bring one of their ideas for exhibition that they created in study task 1.

The participant/trio presents the ideas and everyone in the course take active part in contributing to the message and each element of the exhibition – content, layout, composition, pictures etc. Use the questions from the introduction. The teacher can also prepare by reading the 2 files or decide to hand them out for the class to read:

a. “How to create an exhibition”, from Smithsonian Institution Traveling
Exhibition Service.
b. “How to create a historical exhibit”, from www.nationalhistoryday.org.
