Wording:
The task is to learn some tips on how to write a speech.
Time:
hours
Introduction:
Before you speak you have to write.

What is now this? you think - everybody know that you learn to speak before you learn to write.......this sentence that I just read is pure nonsense!!!!!!!!!!!!

No my good friend, in this case it IS the other way round: Before you can make a speech, you will have to write down what you want to say, because if you don’t do that, you run the risk of just talking – and that talking can take one direction or the other – happily chatting away – missing the point – losing the attention of your audience.

This is not what you want. You want to give a speech to somebody because you want to tell them something, which you want them to understand and remember – isn’t it?
Sure! And therefore you need a good preparation.

By working with this task you will read some good advice about how to write a speech. You can find many advice on this topic, but in fact all the writers of the advice is telling you the same few things over and over again .... now you will have to figure out what the essentials in a good speech are, and try to make one yourself!

Good luck!
Directive:

Read the files

Decide which topic you will talk about, and how much time it shall take

Follow the advice from the files and make the speech just as you want it to be

Send the speech to your tutor and ask for comments; make suggested adjustments

Send the final speech to your tutor
