Each with its own contradictions, means of production and superstructure. However, common for all of them is the basic contradiction between man and nature.

Today, capitalism is the prevailing global economic structure.

More and more wealth is in the hands of private corporations that often have an economy larger than many nation states.

At the same time, more and more people have a hard time to get by.

To many people it is increasingly clear, that capitalism is unable to solve the huge issues facing human kind now and in the future; how to use our common resources to provide a good living for all human beings, to stop wars, to mitigate and adapt to global warming and climate change, to take care of the new generations, and many more issues.

In this task you will look at the signs of deepening economic crisis of capitalist globalization and debate what this could mean for the future.
