Introduction:
What is critique?
It is common to have a negative understanding of the word ‘critique’ ("that guy only knows how to criticize.") - (“you never improve, why didn’t you do what I recommended? You never learn, Your work is no good, you should redo it”, etc.). Sentences like this are of course received as negativity…… just the way they are meant to be.

But critique can also be positive, and be given in an attempt to improve somebody’s work or doings.

Let us take a look at the definition of the ‘criticism’:
Criticism is an assessment that considers the aesthetic merit of a particular subject, a work of art, logic reasoning, and the morality of a conduct and behavior change.

As you can see, the job of a critic is to make an assessment - from a constructive point of view - of a particular subject or theory.

It is easily seen in its educational philosophy, where the students are placed in the driving seat of their own learning; they plan, execute and evaluate their own products and doings.
In order to guarantee the best quality of the training, students have sessions to discuss their affairs in the form of an assessment of what has been done, so they can plan the next steps better.
It is within these assessments that the constructive criticisms arises, where no one looks at the negative parts but rather at how to improve.

It is only within a hierarchical design, criticism works as a means to disqualify others.

Remember that everyone has different abilities. Criticizing doesn’t mean making people angry or creating fights.

This task is based on a reflective analysis of what constitutes good criticism towards the other, and accepting the criticism from others.
Improve your practice of criticizing positively, as that ensures your commitment to the products that you will take to the public.
Directive:

Tell two DI colleagues that you are working with this task, and ask them to show you some products they have made, because you want to practice criticizing

Find at least two ways to improve each of the products, and tell it in a constructive way to the owners of the products

Pay special attention to how they react to your critics, because it will be an indicator for yourself for how well you give the critique

Write a summary explaining the process, draw your conclusions and send to your tutor
