Introduction:
Short stories are a special art form where the author tells a story often with a surprise ending or a point. They are usually between 2 and 15 pages; most are 8-10 pages.<br /> Some famous short story writers are Jack London, Mark Twain and Edgar Allen Poe. It is a popular entertainment to gather people for the reading of short stories.<br /> In Africa story telling is widely known and there is a wealth of traditional stories and folk tales that in generations have been used to pass on messages about right and wrong or as entertainment.<br /> In this task you will dig into this art form and become a short story writer.<br />
Directive:
<ol> <li>Read the 3 short stories in the files for inspiration of the style.</li> <li>Decide the point you want to make with your short story and make up the content.</li> <li>Write the story.</li> <li>Read the story to an audience. If your team mates also make short stories you can invite to an evening of reading all of them and get comments from the audience.</li> <li>Send the story to your teacher along with the comments.</li> </ol>
