The task is to write poems and songs about the future.

Introduction:
Poems and songs are two very different artistic expressions.<br /> Songs have throughout human history played a huge role in all cultures. Songs are for example a powerful tool in uniting people.<br /> Poems have had a different place. Until the middle of the 20<sup>th</sup> Century, poems were mostly for the well educated and higher classes. This has changed. As the world has grown more and more complex and complicated and leaving many people at a loss of how to handle things, poetry has exploded. For example, the majority of American youth write poems frequently.<br /> In this task you are going to write a series of poems or songs about the future.<br /> About your dreams and fears, about global issues, about human life, about… you name it.<br />
Directive:
<ol> <li>Read and listen to “Last Night I had the Strangest Dream”</li> <li>Decide the topics of your poems and songs.</li> <li>Decide the structure of the poems and the tunes of the songs.</li> <li>Write the poems and songs.</li> <li>Practice them.</li> <li>Invite for an event with reading the poems and singing the songs and debating them as well as their messages.</li> <li>Get comments from at least 3 in the audience and send the comments and your poems and songs to your teacher.</li> <li>As a team you decide how to publish all our poems and songs – for example make a booklet or place them on the schools website.</li> </ol>
