The task is to design and produce an information pamphlet or folder to be used in connection with your work of Fighting with the Poor.

Introduction:
During your program you will have many good reasons to produce small folders and pamphlets with information – when going fundraising, when bringing it to the public or when spreading information in the communities where you work during the service period.<br /> In this task you will design and produce a small folder to hand to the public when spreading the word about Fighting with The Poor.<br /> This will give you experience of how the process is, so next time you can be more professional and you will also get insight into the possibilities and limitations of pamphlets.<br /> Almost everywhere we go, we can pick up pamphlets and most of the time we do not even bother to read them. It takes creativity to design an eye-catching pamphlet.<br /> People have to be able to open it up and get the message from glancing at the headlines and from there get interested in reading it all.<br /> It takes passion and knowledge to create a content that gets people’s attention.<br /> They should see the pamphlet and immediately get interested because it has a message that has relevance for them.<br />
Directive:
<ol> <li>Decide the message you wish to bring to the public with your pamphlet/folder. It can be about The Poor, Global Warming and Climate Change, Health, Food, the Fighting with the Poor program….</li> <li>Grab a bunch of pamphlets and folders next time you are in town and get inspirations for your design.</li> <li>Make a “test folder” with the design and main content.</li> <li>Get comments from your team mates and teacher and adjust accordingly.</li> <li>Make the layout on your computer – use programs such as Publisher or InDesign.</li> <li>Get comments again from team mates and teacher before making the final layout.</li> </ol> Print the pamphlet/folder and use it!
