The task is to make a plan for 14-days tour of Bringing it to the Public - deciding cities, making appointments, advertise your coming, getting permissions, arranging food, accommodation and other practical matters.
Time:
hours
Introduction:
This task is done when you have prepared your Journal and before you go.
It is about making all the necessary preparations. During the production of the Journal, you have already some ideas where to go and who your audience is going to be – maybe you have already some appointment?
Preparations are often underestimated. But preparations of an event usually take much longer time than that the event itself.
If you have not made the detailed preparation you might end up with not being able to perform as planned. You get dissatisfied, annoyed, disappointed and might event start to argue among yourself about who should have done what.
Preparations are essential for a successful road trip.
So get on it!
Start by making a day-to-day plan for your presentations/events.
The go systematically through each day and list all the preparations you need to do make it all happen.
For example: Getting the car ready and checked. Decide the drivers. Decide the cities. Make the appointments. Get a road map or a GPS to plan the route. Decide how to advertise your coming and secure that there will be an audience. Make the route. Make the budget and get it approved. Arrange the accommodation. Plan the food. Obtain any necessary permission – e.g. if you are going to do street actions. What to pack? Who is doing what during the road trip?
Once you have ticked off all the points on the preparation list, you are ready to go.
Good luck!
