The task is to understand what has to be done when someone has to take care of a sick person and to know what to do when the conditions are becoming worse.

Introduction:
A sick person’s body is weaker compared with someone who is healthy. To gain strength and to get well special care is needed.<br /> <br /> When a person is not healthy assistance may be needed for daily things. The caring person must look after the sick and monitor their condition; whether they are improving or declining, this is something that is important to do.<br /> <br /> We can assess ourselves quite well and have the knowledge to take care of our sick. This is not always the case in the countries we are traveling to. People need to learn how to take care of the sick. With the right knowledge, the length of sickness can be reduced so the person is up and running again in less time.<br /> <br /> In this task you will learn the basic care of a sick person and what is important to put your attention to.
Directive:
This task is scheduled for 2 hours.<br /> <ol> <li>Read the file: “How to take care of a sick person” from David Werner’s book “Where there is no Doctor”.</li> <li>Imagine a situation at your project where you have to teach how to take care of a person who is sick.</li> <li>Imagine a situation at your project where you have to teach how to take care of a person who is very ill.</li> <li>Imagine a situation at your project where you have to teach what to do when a situation worsens, and you need to seek medical attention.</li> </ol> Write point 2 - 4 in text and send to your teacher.
