Title:
Wording:
The task is to produce a report about the studies, investigations, actions and activities shoulder to shoulder with the group of Poor.
Time:
hours
Introduction:
You must – as an exam product – write a report of (at least) 5-10 pages about the project you have carried out with the group of Poor. The report should include facts and theories you have studied before you did the project and your observations during the project – meaning the new facts you have gathered, the theories used and “tested” in the fight shoulder to shoulder with the group of Poor and your evaluation of how the results of how the project worked out for all parties involved. In your conclusion you can also point out the bigger picture of how this type of project can solve the problems of many groups of Poor in the country you are working or indeed in many countries.
Fighting with the Poor is a new profession and when doing a bigger project as the one you have engaged in you gain new knowledge in this professional field. You should make sure that your new knowledge is well presented in the project report

In the OWU exam rules this is what has been written about the project and the report:

a) The student carries out a project with a group of Poor together with another student (if not possible an alternative format is agreed with ISET/OWU). They together produce and send a 5-10 document about their investigations and actions.

When writing the report these are some guidelines you may use:

Begin with a front page

Include a list of contents

Start with an introduction where you very briefly summaries everything

Explain the studies and investigations carried out –the theories used in designing the project and the planning process

Present the group of Poor

Give a timeline for the project

Present highlights from the project – or the series of actions comprising the project

What were the achievements? What did the project mean to the group of Poor?

Explain what is the new knowledge gained from this project.

Conclude on the project – in the conclusion you can introduce your more personal evaluations of the project and its broader perspectives.

If you have photos or statistics gathered these can be used to illustrate the text.

Make sure you have a nice layout.

If you find that other elements should be included in the report, you should include them while making sure that it at least lives up to the above suggested.
Directive:
This task is scheduled for 40 hours.

Gather your notes from the investigations and from the project. Discuss with your fellow student and summarize what you have achieved and learnt.

Produce a list of contents for the report whereby you present everything so that someone who knows nothing about the project get a clear impression of what happened and what knew theoretical and practical knowledge you have gained.

Write the report. Make sure it is as good as you can make it. Discuss it with your fellow student – and when you are satisfied with the result...

Send it to your teacher.
