Being in charge of your own health, why you need a protocol, how health is something you can influence. What to include in a health protocol. Deciding how to use it.

We have only one life. The human body is a marvelous creation with enormous capacities. It requires care and maintenance in order to function optimally. To be well, well being and living well are not something that comes by itself. You need to take care of your body. You need to get to know you body. You need to train your body.<br /> In this day and age there are a lot of health “gurus” advocating for fitness programs, special diets, supplements, medicine and a variety of wonder machines.<br /> It is easy to get confused and overwhelmed and spent a lot of money.<br /> The simplest way forward is to listen to your body, to know you body, to use common sense and to use some essential indicators that can tell you about the state of your body.<br /> Be conscious about what you eat and don’t eat.<br /> It is about adding supplements for what your food is not providing.<br /> It is about exercising your body so all parts are kept “well-oiled” and your muscles are kept strong.<br /> It is about taking care of any health issue up-front and radically. Do not wait until small issues become big issues.<br /> As the old saying says: “Prevention is better than cure”. When you are young and healthy and strong it can be difficult to take this saying seriously. Our bodies can take a lot of abuse before showing serious signs of weakness, but constant abuse can show signs later in life. Keeping and building a healthy and strong body is a life long process. It is not about absent of diseases – it is about OPTIMAL health. You deserve that so you can live a long and productive life.<br /> Making a health protocol is a tool for you to use in this process.<br /> A health protocol contains a number of decisions you make in order to take good care of your health based on your present condition, health issues and needs.
Directive:
This task is scheduled for 1 hour.<br /> <ol> <li>The teacher gives an introduction based on the introduction. (15 min)</li> <li>The teacher asks the team to give examples of how each has taken control/ not taken control over their health. Write two columns on the whiteboard. (10 min) </li> <li>The teacher explains about making a health protocol and goes through the process. The teacher can show an example of own health protocol, or a fictive health protocol. (10 min)</li> <li>The teacher has arranged how everybody can get their health measures with Tanita weight and blood pressure. The students get their measurements and start making their protocols (20 min) </li> <li>The team meets and decides how to finish their health protocols and when to look at them at a team meeting to follow up. (5 min)</li> </ol> Although we have added the attached document <em>Health Protocol Form. Own production, </em>it is also possible to make your own form.<br />
