The task is to use what you have learnt about new technologies and their development and imagine possible future scenarios for the years 2025 and 2050.

Introduction:
Studying and understanding what famous thinkers and scientists predict for the future is one thing. To envision or visualize how the world will look like in 2025 or 2050 is another thing. Usually we have a vague idea of what it might be like. But do we ever really sit down and think about how it will actually develop? Do we really ever try to imagine how technology will develop until 2050 for example? For sure, many questions will still be open, but looking at 5 years ago and today, we can maybe get a small glimpse of the new reality and the speed with which things can change.<br /> <br /> Thinking about technology in the years 2025 and 2050, there are many topics that could be considered. Does environmental degradation continues on its’ way or does new green technology finds its’ way into the mainstream? How does the depletion of natural resources develop? Can we find sustainable alternatives through new technology? How will the Internet look like in 2025 or 2050? Are there still cell phones in 2050? How does the medical work looks like in 10 years? How does genetics research look like and how is it influencing the world? Technology keeps clearly developing fast and it is a good exercise to think about where we are heading with this increase in technology combined with emerging markets from different continents.
