Introduction:
It is worthwhile as individuals to think and imagine how the world can be shaped, as well as how the future is going to be. It is you and me who make the world a better place to live in. There is no doubt that together we can shape the world and the future.<br /> <br /> The starting point is how you look at people. Sometimes people are described as ‘the masses’ needing strong leaders to tell them where to go. In HPP, people are looked upon in the opposite way.<br /> <br /> The main strategy of the TCE program is expressed in the sentence: ‘Only the people can liberate themselves from AIDS - the Epidemic’. TCE provides knowledge and structures and comradeship for people to use their own forces and ideas in the common fight together to liberate the TCE area.<br /> <br /> In all the Humana People to People school programmes the students are encouraged to become ‘the driving force in their own education’. They get access to knowledge and are encouraged to use what they have learnt to fight shoulder to shoulder with The Poor.<br /> The lessons to be taught in a DNS student’s school-practice is not in her text book; the structure is there, ready for her to fill out.<br /> <br /> The DMM tasks in the schools are build up in such a way that they do not inform the student about the correct answers to give for an exam. They provide access to knowledge and ask the student to make a product (for instance a presentation, a poster, a speech or to lead a debate), because when they do that, they are required to draw their own conclusions and make up their mind.<br /> <br /> The Microfinance projects in India do not instruct the poor women how to use the money they loan. They provide them with the possibility to obtain a loan and the skills to make a budget and a cash flow, to use a bank account and to take out an insurance policy.<br /> <br /> The children in the HPP preschools are taught:<br /> · Do not compete. Do symbiotic things.<br /> · Do not do evil. Do good things that good people do.<br /> · Do not make war. Make peace. Love peace. Keep the peace.<br /> · Make the Solidary Humanism your -ism.<br /> <br /> Humana People to People builds on the philosophy of the Solidary Humanism. It believes in the ability and the wish of people to work together and create a better world.
