The task is to get an understanding of the aims, content, methods, organization and origin of the ''Fighting with the Poor'' training.

Introduction:
This task is directly and thoroughly assisted by the file from the book describing the<br /> training named “Fighting with the Poor” by One World University.<br /> Here we will therefore only add a few comments.<br /> <br /> It is by no means a coincidence that the name of this training is “Fighting with the<br /> Poor” – and not “Fighting for the Poor” or “Fight Poverty”.<br /> <br /> In this training, the students learn what it means to stand shoulder to shoulder with<br /> the Poor and together take up the fight for better living conditions. The Poor is not a<br /> subject, but and active participant in this fight.<br /> <br /> Poverty is an abstract phenomenon that you can study academically. The Poor are human beings<br /> affected by the structural violence that has brought on poverty for<br /> millions in its wake. It is a solidary humanism practice to team up with those who are affected, standing shoulder to shoulder with them.<br /> The success of the training is measured in actual results in changing the situation of<br /> the Poor – together with the Poor.<br /> <br /> This task is about considering the aims of this training, its content, methods,<br /> organization and historic origin.<br /> <br /> <strong>Enjoy!</strong>
