The task is to set up ten statements about the future in your trio, present these to the rest of the team with your arguments for why you have selected these ten and why others deliberately have been left out, and draw your conclusions on their relevance.

Introduction:
In this task you will work together in your trio. The task is to set up ten statements<br /> about the future to be debated in a <em>Café evening.</em><br /> <br /> For many people, the future is one day at the time – especially the many poor people<br /> on the planet. For them, the future is something that comes which they have no<br /> influence on, a destiny brought onto them by outside forces.<br /> <br /> People like you have surplus and the possibility to study and investigate what forces<br /> are at stake in global development, and you have the power to take a stand to which<br /> direction your future should go. Naturally there are circumstances and realities that<br /> you have little or no influence on, but do not underestimate the power of people<br /> taking a stand and creating the life they want.<br /> <br /> Each new generation stands on the shoulders of previous generations for good and<br /> for bad, and life from one generation to the next is changing exponentially today<br /> and will continue to do so in the future. This is a challenge for our generations.<br /> <br /> <strong>Have a great debate!</strong>

1. In your trio, set up 10 statements about the global future, where you look at<br /> what forces will be decisive for the development, which countries will have a<br /> major say in this, what conditions people will be forced to adapt to, and what<br /> ordinary people can do to influence this development.<br /> <br /> 2. Prepare to argue for your statements, why these have been selected, and why<br /> development will not take another direction.
