Listening to the criticism about your product, learning from it and changing for the better.
Time:
hours
Introduction:
In this experience of paying ''attention to the criticism about your product'' the
importance you give to others in the qualification of your products is tested.
Another issue at stake is the way you build your pride. It is a matter of
attitude.

When you produce a work, you resort to your own initiative and creativity.
You sweat in the process. Then you will have a final product, which you
consider to be excellent. Then you expose this product to others for
qualification.

Here begins your problem. How do you take the critical comments from
others? Do you think that because they indicate some aspects to improve they
are disqualifying your work? Or do you see it as a great contribution to
yourself, to enrich your work?

You have to understand one important thing: The work that you have created
to be displayed to others incites and inspires people to think about the subject
of your work. This means that these people had no idea about that matter, but
from your ideas they begin to think and talk about it, suggesting more ideas
and offering other approaches. Is that a disqualification? No, instead, it is the
most useful way to recognize you creativity and efforts.

However, you should know that, depending on the personality and experience
of each of the critics, the way they expose some criticism can be very
negative. In this case you don’t have to feel inferior, focus only on the
suggestions for improvement and, if you don’t have any suggestions, think of
the necessary improvement for the indicated flaws.

In case you even understand that the work needs to be redone, do not hesitate
and redo the work, changing everything for the better. This is the productive
life of anyone with the courage to create. This is how scientists, doctors,
architects, artists and teachers act and react.

So, with all the above, you can easily see how important it is for you to
develop an attitude of paying a lot attention to the criticism about your
product. At first it may be difficult, but as you get more mature, you will be
stronger to withstand the criticism, even the negative.

With all this, you must also develop a good attitude of criticism towards the
others, suggesting aspects to improve and recognizing that their work required
effort.

Enjoy it.
Directive:
1. Decide, within the core group, to take this experience together.

2. Sit together as a hearing panel for each of the core group colleagues, their
performance and their products.

3. Each one should prepare a A4 paper and pen to record everything. There is
no need to record who spoke.

4. One at a time, each member should ask their colleagues for critics about
their product or performance.

- Note everything without contradicting it and then thank and commit
to improve whatever needs improvement and maintain what is
already positive.

5. The meeting ends with the song ''We are happy to be together “.
