Common Meeting to decide on who does what, in which training, at the first step of Hitting the Hearts.

Introduction:
You are a group, the core group. As a unified group working in sync, you
become a strong team working to achieve your goals, both individually and
collectively.

You might think that deciding on who does what is easy, but it is not as easy
as it sounds. It is not easy, but it is very important as it is the basis of the
operation of the group.

Why isn’t it easy? First, you need to know well one another – the
potentialities of each one; you need an environment of comradeship and trust
between you; you need to maintain horizontal relationships, where no one
feels superior to the others, you need to demonstrate that each of you is
important. This is just for starters; it is the atmosphere in the group, without
that, the group “dies” as a group.

However, this atmosphere doesn’t appear by itself, it is created with the
indispensable contribution of each one. Your group leader, the teacher,
defends this strongly, and that is what makes him a leader. The responsibility
is collective.

These are just initial thoughts. It is very important that everyone knows what
to do during the activities of Hitting the Hearts, because it serves to value
each person in the group. As a group, you act together, synchronizing
individual efforts in order to advance. A good example that illustrates this is
the way we move a bicycle by pedaling with both legs: the left leg is in sync
with the right leg – that’s how we get enough strength to keep it moving. You
should work in sync with each other. And how will you act without knowing
what to do, when, how and where? It is the responsibility of the core group to
place each element in a way that he knows what he will do with the others.

Here you should understand very well what it means ''each one doing their
part'', because many groups fall apart when some members start to turn it into
a hierarchy, leaving others without responsibility. As we said, the
responsibility is collective. Whoever holds the position of a leader must
understand that this is a special task to serve the group, a task that consists of
keeping each element of the group motivated to do their part. Why do we say
keeping people ''motivated''? Because being a leader doesn’t mean being a
foreman. A foreman serves a hierarchical bureaucratic system where some are
“bosses" with special rights.

The military uses it, capitalist organizations and companies work this way.
But it is not so with you. You act as a united team of students without
hierarchy, or special rights for a few. No. If you do that, your group “dies” as
a group and remains as a bureaucratic organization with the ensuing
consequences. Fight it. Everyone should feel valued, but never superior to
anyone else. All different, but all equal, exploring the differences so that the
group can go further.

So, deciding on who does what at the first stage of Hitting the Hearts is very
important to keep the group motivated and united as a group.

This is your opportunity.
Hands on.
Directive:
1. Decide together within the core group to begin the first stage of your
presentations for Hitting the Hearts.

2. Consulting your presentations poster in the classroom, organize who will
do what, how to prepare for it and when it will be done.

3. Ensure that everything will be done for the presentation to happen: the
authorizations of the local structures, the invitations, date, time and
transportation. Everything should be ready for the first stage of Hitting the
Hearts.

4. Register everything and submit it to the teacher for evaluation.
