Introduction:
Part of the plan on studies within DNS OWU is to bring many different ideas,
opinions, thought and experiences to the people outside your school. Bringing to the
Public is a subject that specifically focuses on this matter. The “how”, “why” and the
question of what is the meaning and thought behind “it” is very important; it is what
you would like to spread.

Your presentations should be active and you should be well motivated to spread he
current situation in the country you visited, the travel as such and your utmost
experiences.

It is important to carry out proper planning and organising with teammates on the
Bringing it to the Public question otherwise, your idea may end up being too
personal and vague. Therefore it is best for you to brainstorm good facts on for
example, culture (customs, norms and values), religion, poverty, language, politics,
history, geography, ethnicity etc so that your message will reach out to the public,
from the public. You may need to find creative ways of presenting your message so
you do not end up with only dry talk where you might lose your audience.

You must plan according to the different age groups that will be present when you
give your presentation. An example in presenting for a Tvind school with
problematic children would be by interacting them by running small workshops such
as drumming, art etc.

Ways of presenting could be:

1. PPP – power point presentation with pictures, subtitles and small leading notes for
you to keep a track on what you want to say

2. Posters – explaining and understanding

3. Movie – you can create your own sequences as a reportage or an informative
documentary

4. Portraits

5. A play – bring the arts of theatre into the study field and incorporate your message

6. Poetry – Express your “it” through literature, make your own or collect from
others experiences.

These are only a few examples but the field is yours to use your own creativity and
thoughts of how to bring your message out to the public with a fruitful content.
Directive:
1. Read the task.

2. Divide yourselves in different groups and brainstorm ways on what and how
to bring to the public.

3. Divide yourselves in groups of who present what.

4. Begin the thorough planning of your CONTENT! This is a difficult one.

5. After the various discussions and conclusions prepare your different
presentations and practice in front of your team.

6. Now you are ready to Bring it out to the Public.

7. When you have presented, it is the required to conclude well by including
what did you learn? What can you improve in it? What was the feedback from
the public? What were the difficulties and were there any obstacles? Did your
structure really work? How and why?

8. Send the product to your teacher.
