The experience involves writing a list of topics that might be interesting and important to study.
Time:
hours
Introduction:
Having read the title of this experience, you may ask yourself: Why should I as a
student write a list of what I want to learn? You may be thinking that the decision
about what goes on this list is not yours; it is the director’s or the teacher’s. If you
think like this, you are on the wrong track within the context of modern education.
But you may also think that this is about making a disordered list of subjects to
study, but it is not.

The experience involves making a list of what you would like to learn according to
the OWU pedagogy and course program. An example of a list could be:

- How to give the best lesson in subtraction and addition to the first grade.
- How to boost participatory teaching in the first cycle at primary school.
- Improving horticultural production at the OWU.
- The role of a group in the OWU modern teaching system.
- What is the importance of learning by doing?

These are just some examples provided to inspire you.

The methodology of Modern Determination of Methods (the foundations of OWU
teaching) requires the student to determine and drive the teaching. By doing this you
will have an extraordinary learning experience and will acquire many life skills. In
the world of modern education, the teacher’s role is to facilitate the student’s
learning.

The methodology of Modern Determination of Methods challenges the student,
gives power to the student and leads the student to be an active learner. The student
is always attentive and the method teaches the students to work alone or in a group.
This system is designed so that the students may choose to do studies, courses or
experiences and their plan for the week is in their own hands. Interesting, isn’t it?

Good luck!
Directive:
1. Make a list of 20 things that you would like to learn about and decide
how you will study these topics.

2. Get feedback from your fellow students.

3. Invite your teacher to comment on your list and the methods that you
will use.
