The task is to prepare and hold the DMM course called; “The ideas behind the use of DMM – How does DMM work as an educational system”
Time:
hours
Introduction:
It is important that you as a teacher for DNS students become very skilled in making
excellent DMM courses. You need to show these coming teachers how lessons can
be interesting, can move you forward, can make you think, can make you open up
your mind to new understanding, can challenge you, can provoke traditional
thinking, can unite you in a group, can make you want to learn more and you can
add more. Education and school should be lively and just as important as life after
school. The DNS students need to be inspired and to be trained to understand new
ways of teaching and learning than the ones they have experienced when they were
primary school students themselves. Children and youth can become a great force of
change to their country if they are mobilised and counted in as someone ready to
learn, act and teach others all at the same time. They do not need to wait until they
have become adults. They are ready from the moment the DNS teacher steps into
their classroom and opens up a new world of how school can be. We need to train
our students and coming teachers in the art of opening up the world and make the
children an active force in their schools and in their communities.

Have a good course!
Directive:
1. Read the files (F1;F2) Prepare the course “The ideas behind the use of DMM
– How DMM work as an educational system”. You can follow the plan and
guidelines for the course in the file (F1) which also is available at the DNS
database or you can make your own version with the same title.

2. Hold the course.

3. Evaluate how your course went:

a) Did the students develop a better understanding of DMM through the
course? Give examples.

b) Did you manage to get the students up on their toes being active in the
deliberations and the discussions?

c) What was the best part?

d) Should you have done something different or did it all together go well?

Explain your answer.
