The task is to be prepared for working in classes with many children.

Introduction:
Each individual possesses and presents a way of learning that is specific to them. For<br /> example, some children learn more easily by singing songs, or by drawing, painting,<br /> and story-telling, through riddles that develop language or through educational toys<br /> and games.<br /> <br /> When you are in the middle of a group of children, using theatre, stories, poems and<br /> songs that can be presented to the community, you are using a fun method of learning.<br /> How can children learn through fun? When children play jump rope, they easily learn<br /> how to count. When physical and mental processes are joined together, children’s<br /> learning is improved.<br /> <br /> We believe that you already have much experience when you do “Show Time, Open<br /> Sundays,” in the presentation of activities in public places and in practising skills in<br /> individual presentations. These are personal experiences that you can use in this task.<br /> <br /> Follow the instructions carefully using the file and the 6 th grade subject book for help.
Directive:
1. Make your own definition of what it means that a class is<br /> “big”.<br /> <br /> 2. Read the file (F1) about different ways of how to organize<br /> students in a classroom.<br /> <br /> 3. Make a proposal for how to better organize the children in<br /> your class considering the activity level of the children and<br /> the role of the teacher.<br /> <br /> 4. Present your findings for your micro group and let the results<br /> of the discussion improve your plan.<br /> <br /> 5. Write an essay on the topic and send it to your teacher for<br /> comments before publishing it in the school’s newsletter.
