The task is to make yourself a spokesman for having the student as an active part in his own education
Time:
hours
Introduction:
The student as an active part of her own education. Do you believe in this? Have you
ever tried working with children who are made responsible for their own learning?

Your own experience as a DNS student has already talked a lot about this. It is the
best way of working with the pupils because they are the ones who are learning and
they have their own interests and expectations.

If you are truly interested in using methods where the pupils play an active part in
their education then you have to start to change your consciousness and the way that
you think about the pupils. If you do not think that all pupils are capable, then you
will not. But if you think that all pupils are capable, then you may be able to.

However, everything depends on the vision of humanity that is behind what you think
of your pupils. You may think that this change is easy, but it is not. It is a strong
decision that you should take and fight to maintain.

However, we are not only dealing with the application of active methods, but also
with finding sufficient arguments to be able to discuss and explain the use of
methodology where the pupils are an active part of their learning to your colleagues
and other teachers. These discussions cannot be solely based on words; they must be
based on action.

This task is a good opportunity for you to become an active spokesperson for pupils
being an active part of their own education.

Enjoy.
Directive:
1.Start “collecting” good reasons for using methods in teaching where
the student is an active part. Discuss with your fellow students and
with your teachers.

2. Write down the 20 bests reasons for this method and write a page
stating which view of human nature is behind this teaching method.

3. Make and write down a 10 minutes speech/presentation about the
theme.

4. Send it to your teacher and ask for his qualification. Agree with your
teacher to hold the speech at your next team meeting.
