The task is to take a number of decisions on how you can live a long and healthy life.
Time:
hours
Introduction:
In this task you will consider everything you know about what it takes to live a long
and healthy life and take a number of decisions on how you can achieve that – or
move toward achieving that.

Often people know what is the “right” thing to do, and they just don’t follow it – and
might even torture themselves about it – “I should have….”.

This is not what this task is about.

Being well, well-being and living well is all about the pleasure of living – and
decisions to live a long and healthy life should be positive, uplifting and encouraging
decisions.

Taking such decisions is not a moral issue – it is about understanding the need and
advantages of a decision and then reaping the benefit.

So take it step by step – once you have accomplished the first 5 steps, you can decide
on 5 new steps etc. Make the decisions a pleasure and do-able so you get energized
and encouraged by the victories – and not setting yourself up for failure.

To get you off to a start here is a brainstorm of areas in which you can take decisions:

Food you eat, exercises, sleeping, care of health issues, environment, substituting bad
habits with good ones (from snacking, smoking and soft drinks….to reading books,
walk the dog in the nature, take a bike trip, eat an apple….), day structure,
comradeship, work and productivity, discipline, supplements, dreams, visions and
purpose in life.

Good luck!
Directive:
1. Brainstorm a list of areas that you find essential to a long and healthy life.

2. Decide which areas you wish to take decisions within. Argue why?

3. List your decisions – and a time frame for when they have been achieved (if it
is not from now on).

4. Publish your list of decisions – this is essential, so you have somebody to share
your progress with and to keep you to your decisions. Also, some of your
decisions might involve others to change theirs.

5. Brag about every step you take!

6. Follow up after 1 month and conclude on your progress. What have you
achieved? What are the next steps?
